By utilizing biometric fever screening upon entering the hotel or congress center, an onsite test center, and allowing access only for those vaccinated, recovered and negatively tested - the Estrel Berlin impressively demonstrates how a safe setting for live events can be created in corona times. Europe's largest hotel, congress and entertainment center developed a very comprehensive hygiene and safety concept early on and this has now become standard procedure in all areas.

Noteworthy is that with 30,000 sqm of event space in its Estrel Congress Center (ECC), the Estrel has plenty of room to orchestrate events and the navigation of attendees through the venue in accordance with social distancing requirements - whether for face-to-face events with several thousand participants or as hybrid or pure digital events.

Particularly for these new event formats, the new auditorium, which was just opened in August, offers the perfect setting. Located directly adjacent to the ECC, the auditorium and its adjoining conference rooms are excellently equipped for the digital future with a fiber-optic network for broadband Internet, streaming encoders for hybrid events and remote cameras enabling all rooms to be visually and acoustically connected to one another.

In addition, the ECC has another digital studio from which hybrid and fully digital lectures, talks, product presentations, etc. can be streamed.

The ECC’s direct connection to the hotel, show theater and restaurant areas as offer guests an additional health and safety advantages- with everything under one roof, the risk of infection via cab or public transport transfers is also reduced.
